The fifteenth edition of the World Business Dialogue (Organisationsforum Wirtschaftskongress, OFW) will take place next 14th and 15th of March, 2012, in the city of Cologne, Germany.
The WBD, as well as SABF, is a forum organised entirely by students from the University of Cologne, Germany. The two days of conference offer a space for debate in which 300 students from around the world can exchange ideas on the most important topics of global relevance, together with 60 global leaders.
The main topic of this edition is “consumption”. The debates are related to how the current transformations have changed the consumption paradigms by providing the opportunity to buy at any time and place, as well as analyse the differences between the least developed countries, where people only buy to meet their basic needs and some of the first world countries, where a new “culture of consumption” of goods and services has been developed , oriented not only at satisfying basic needs, but also at generating new experiences.
In the 15th edition of the forum, featured speakers will be present such as: Suhas Gopinath (Globals Inc CEO), Bernd Kolb (Founder of the Club of Marrakesh) and Rene Schuster (CEO of Telefonica United Kingdom). In addition to the lectures, workshops will be conducted with fewer participants to generate ideas and exchange experiences in a relaxed and personal atmosphere. Finally, there will be an “Integrated Challenge” where participants combine their visions and knowledge to create a business strategy.
If you are interested in participating in the WBD and be in contact with 300 students from around the world and important business personalities, you will have time until December 31st. Participants will be chosen from an application that you will have to complete with your personal details and some questions related to the main topic on the website. We hope you take advantage of this unique opportunity!
